SS brake lines
SS brake lines
Anyone using one? I need to rebuild the front brake on a 81 standard so thought this would be a good time to install.
Did you clean the tank out?!?!?!?!

Re: SS brake lines
I have one on my '79. Any time would be a good time to upgrade to s/s brake lines!

Re: SS brake lines
It made a big difference to the old rubbers. Worth it.

Re: SS brake lines
I have them on my CB900C. I bought them off ebay, but since then I've found a local place that will make them for me for less than what I paid on Ebay.

Good point.
I had some trouble with the lengths and connectors as the 80/81 fork is different and sets were only for 1981. Also my handlebars were not stock.
Finally I found a company that made me a two lines set (the 1980 Custom has two calipers in Germany) at custom lengths I measured with a hose. Got them with black cover and for the same price as a set.

You can check "cyclebrakes.com", and look for a Galfer line for your bike. I've ordered s/s lines thru them on several other bikes I've had. I think the local shop that was doing some work on my CB650 went ahead and made the one I have on there now.
As for the 4-1, I think it says "D&D" or D&B" Street Performance. Here's some pics from the right side:

I like how the left side goes` over the filter instead of under.

Note the additional zip tie for the clutch cable!
