rocker covers

my rocker covers look terrible, clear is coming off, oxidation, the usual. the problem is this, I cant seem to get the rest of the clear off.... tried paint remover, laquer thinner, mek, steel wool...nothing... anybody got any experience stripping these things?

TSP , mix with small amount of water to make paste and rub.

Use foamy oven cleaner...spread out some newspaper, put the pieces down, spray with oven cleaner, let soak 15-20 minutes, put on some heavy latex dishwashing gloves, use some 000 to 0000 steel wool to rub it off, and they should pretty much be stripped down to the bare aluminum.
