Re: Airbox and filter question
You can usually find stock air boxes on eBay. That's what I would do. Personally, I don't think pods are worth the trouble.

Re: Airbox and filter question
There are multiple ones available on Ebay right now. Is this a rhetorical question?
But... for the sake of your (rather silly) question.... I would study and take measurements of the stock box and fab up a new one.

Re: Airbox and filter question
Well silly or not sometime there may not even be any airfilter boxes at Ebay, and if that happens there must be a solution instead of using pod filters.
To take measurements of the stock box and fab up a new one, that is not so bad idea. I think i,ll do that.

If you have the plenum box I always thought mounting a big 3" automotive cone filter to it. Seen one on a 550 once.
Did you clean the tank out?!?!?!?!
Re: Airbox and filter question
That looks good in fact, does it need rejetting to use that filter box?

Re: Airbox and filter question
no re-jetting is required, all I had to do was raise the needle one groove.
The most important this is the velocity stacks (one of the problem with pod filters). I found that the mild steel ones from a Rover V8 are perfect (when cut down) and only cost £25 on ebay
All the parts are laser cut so If you want the autocad drawings to get your own cut PM me
