2 stroke oil in fuel?

Postby MEHall » Sun Aug 20, 2017 5:46 pm

As i've noticed that some motoroil is coming into the combustion chamber so i wonder if it's possible to make it less by using some 2 stroke oil in the fuel?

Could this work or is it of no consequence? :?:

I am not sure I understand. You are already getting oil into the cylinders, and you want to add oil to the fuel. Is that right?
Oil in the cylinder as indicated by oily plugs indicate a leak somewhere; rings, head gasket, valve guide seals, etc. Adding oil to the fuel will not cure this kind of problem. If it isn't affecting riding, just clean the plugs when it begins to.

liquid oil in the cylinder can cause hydraulic lock. That will result in catastrophic damage to the engine.

Perhaps more information will help understand your question.

Hm is it so hard to understand my question in this case?? Or was i not clear enough? Well dont bother to anwer that.

As motor oil comes into combustion chamber i just wondered if a small amount of 2 stroke oil in the fuel could stop the motor oil from entering the chamber. Less than 2 % 2 stroke oil should be used i think. But maybe it's a futile though as a CB 650 is not a 2 stroke engine. :? So maybe it's better to let this thread wither away.

I think adding 2 stroke oil into the gasoline will only increase the amount of oil in the cylinder. This will cause poor running. The spark plugs will eventually foul, (will not spark). The oil must be stopped by replacing whatever is leaking: piston rings, guide seals, cam assembly gaskets, or cylinder head gasket.

I am sorry if my confusion and question confused you. At first I did not see that you are not a native English speaker. Technical things sometimes do not translate well.

If you have a compression tester, or can borrow one, the piston rings can be checked by first measuring all the cylinders for compression with the engine cold. Check them one at a time. Then add a small amount of oil to each, and test again. If the compression value increases over the first test, you may need to renew the rings and hone the cylinder walls. This is usually only needed on high mileage (Kilometers) bikes. (Or one that has been used heavily).

Gaskets and seals can only be fixed by replacing them.

Best of luck and I hope it is an easy fix for you.

Is'nt 2 stroke oil burnt with the combustion? Maybe my question is unanswerable as the boundary between 4 stroke and 2 stroke is to great i suppose. Seems like i need to test this out myself or fix the engine once and for all.

I just wonder what baffons that have owned the bike before me that dont seem to have serviced it properly??

Well, let this tread go south as it's better to fix the bike i think.
