Fischer FS 01 Forward Control on CB 650 RC08

Postby Justsu » Tue Oct 10, 2017 1:44 pm

Hello together,
I just bought an old Forward Control Kit FISCHER FS 01 originally built for Honda's CB 750 KZ.
I checked if the kit fits on the frame of my CB 650 RC08 - it's possible to mount it onto the given positions.
But as you can seen on the attached pictures the gear lever shows to the right side.
Not very comfortable :-)

Maybe someone can help me with pictures with an installed Forward Control Kit FISCHER FS 01 on a CB 650 RC08 or CB 750 KZ.
Then I can check if I have to adjust the position or something else is wrong.

Thanks in advance

Patrick

Hello Patrick, I know nothing about forward controls but in your second picture the lever looks bent.

I'm with George on both counts: I know nothing about forward controls AND it looks bent.

Hello.
This was my first thought ,too.
Well, maybe I can fix it?
At the moment I have other problems with high revs which won't decrease after I pull the clutch. Occurs only with hot a enginge.
I will see.

Check for air leaks around your carb insulators. Take something like spray brake cleaner and, with the engine idling, spray it on the tubes going from the carbs to the head. Listen for a change in idle. If it changes, there is an air leak.
