Hi tiagoba21, nice to know someone else is tackling one of these beasts. The earlier handlebars were cut from a pair of vintage apehangers. They had a 90 degree bend near the grips so they cleared the exposed fork tubes while creating adjustable low bars. Near 5" of verticle adjustment. The clip-ons were a gamble from ebay, but the quality is good, and they work well to disguise the exposed fork tubes. The forks were raised through the trees to lower the front end.
If you want typical risers to bolt "normal" bars to, I would suggest having some 7/8" tubes welded to standard risers (7/8") so they will clamp into the factory handlebar clamps built into the stock top triple.

Right here in utah. Started taking the front end apart today. They guy I bought the bike from had a clunkers manual and on there it says to take off the wheels(one part) you just have to loosen the clamping bolt. We’ll I did that and started to unscrew the main pin. I got about halfway through the tread and than it would come off anymore. I was stuck there for hours until my brother in law stopped by. He suggested I take the clamping bolt completely off. As soon as I did the pin finished unscrewing and the wheel came off. Shocks I have on the bike are different than the one in the manual. Now that I made that mistake, it looks like it’s the same ones you have on your bike.

I made these oring plates to seal up the engine for soda blasting , pressure wash, & paint.

My first attempt at making formed aluminum panels, it covers up the top triple and provides a spot for the idiot lights.

Looking forward to putting this back together. Most of the paintwork is done, and the battery box looks like it will work fine.

Really impressing result!
I am curious how you made that. Some details on the tools you used would be interesting, too.

I used my lathe to round over the end of a 3/4" steel bar about 10" long. I cut the aliminum to the pattern to make a box, but instead of folding it I hammered it around the bar using the rounded end for the corners. The curves were greatly enhanced during the forming process. Here is a picture before sanding and paint.

Interesting hook solution.
The center of gravity of the engine seems to match fine for the proper angle.

There is a strap that goes from the top of the hook to the bottom front of the motor. The balance is close.

I got most of the wiring on but still needed to wrap some of it. That's done.
