After seeing all the nice machines on here I went out and bit the bullet. I picked this 1980 CB650 up a few weeks ago and have been enjoying fixing it up in my garage with all the help from the posts here in the forum. My goal now is to get it up and running in the next month or so and then maybe adding a few changes when the cold weather rolls in.
The one thing I noticed after taking off the carbs is the plastic piece on the carb that controls the choke was broken off. In my search I haven’t been able to find a replacement or something similar that can do the job. Any help or advice would be helpful.

Hi MikeD, I put a metal choke pulley on a set of 650 PD carbs from a Honda 750 but I can't remember which model 750 it was. I never actually got around to fitting the carbs on a bike but the metal pulley fit ok, would have just had to use a choke cable adjuster at the carb end to give the cable a bit extra lift to operate the choke.

Interesting. I wonder if this could be my solution for now. Ill look into it.
Thanks for the info

This is the part that I used, it fit straight on with no mods other than an old handlebar cable adjuster placed in the cable clamp to give the extra lift.
