It's always a sad day when I have to put the bikes away for winter storage, but today it had to be done. The forecast have been telling us that we might get snow later this week, so I decied to call the riding season off.
Not a joyful day, but with +5C, fog and light rain outside, it wasn't too hard really.
And inside a warm house, with a new blues record in the CD player (Walter Trout & The Radicals), a cup of fresh coffé, and a Kawasaki KZ400 engine rebuild vaiting in the workshop, life isn't too bad really.
A sad day.
Never mind, Ibsen. Think of us poor souls who have not been riding for over a month!
Today here it is -7c with snow on the ground. No motorcycles to be seen.

Yes, tell it to yourself until you really believe it!
But here the swimming season is also almost finished and I guess my next motorcycle turns will be with more clothing on.

Was out last weekend - though not on the CB - I stopped for a while to catch some sun. It's been T-shirt weather here for a few days. Freaky. Next week we turn our clocks forward an hour to catch up wit the rest of europe. I bet then things will change a bit. I too may have to wear a...pullover even (shock horror)
i dont watch big brother
Had another new experience with my 650 today. When I got out of work tonight I had to wipe frost from my seat It was 27 degrees. I really need to get that full-faced helmet and a pair of insulated gloves. I told the wife the other day that cold weather riding is almost a perfect reversal of hot weather riding. In hot weather, you can't wait to get moving again while you're baking in leather at the stops. In cold weather, you can't wait to stop again so you can warm up

I don't have to. I really enjoy working on the engines in my workshop. But in the summer I never have the time to do it. I have lived in this country for almoast 50 years and I have learned to adapt.

Which remembers me that I still have no heated workshop where I just can roll in my motorcycles.
I usually do my work on holidays like easter or ascension when there is no chance to get free roads here. Or in summer when it is really too hot in the sun for motorcycle wear.
