How many of these covers do you want...

Anyone else succeeded in replicating the "Hard to get" side covers? I have been busy and had a few of my originals copied. But times are hard and have only sold a few this year.. I managed to get hold of some damn fine rare covers of the customs expecially of all of the Nighthawk versions but the Cb450 SC right cover.. Am watching one at the moment but the asking price is a tad high..

Cheers for that but i don't do any of the sohc stuff. There was a guy that had a plastics business and he was doing sohc covers. Got the same story as i did , loads of people saying yeah we want we want.. and when he came up with the goods, he ended up with a box full of useless plastic no one wanted to buy. He said it cost him like US$10 000 to have a mould tool made for injection moulding. And he was asking $45.00 per cover.. His opinion after that was when someone asked if he could make covers was... Go find one on ebay.. He was well pissed ..
I do it more for fun and do only specific models. But the originals have cost me a couple of thousand pounds buying them and having moulds made from them.

All those Z model covers you showed are for a sohc4.

Guess the comment is on the SOHC4 site and not on the bike

The comments were made in private messages between myself and him comparing notes on making these covers and having gone through the same process of using our skills and passion for older bikes.
Thats why when i was told about the Z model covers my opinion was, ebay has a few.. available at the time..

Nothing wrong with the bikes... its just the "all talk and no action" that you ocassionally get on sites about these things..
I saw it as a bit of a challenge to find these "rare" covers and then replicate and sell them as a side line to pay for my other ebay purchases.

This is the whole basis of my comments. You have for sale all these Z model covers. the Z 650 is a sohc4. So no matter if you made them or not you do have sohc4 covers for sale. I just said someone was looking. No not me.

As much as i would like to say i have these covers for sale. I don't, i am also only too well aware what model they are from along with the fact they belong to the SOHC family..

Initially i thought you were looking for them until you explained otherwise.

We seem to be going around in circles on this subject..

Why would u ask how many I wanted then????????? implies you have some for sale????????? I dont give a shit as I dont have a Z so just glad the people I told about u didnt follow a dead end.

Also on page 2 you state a new addition to what u make and there is a 650 custom cover. Is that not a SOHC4?

I wash my hand of trying to understand and help anymore.
