Which and where?
Alright guys I finally have some money to spend, I have an 80 cb650c. Where is the best place to order carb boots/insulators for both sides of carbs in the U.S.? Also I'm going to vacuum sync my carbs, which set of gauges? Motion pro? Emgo?
Re: Which and where?
Good luck finding the airbox to carb boots. They were never available seperate from the airbox from honda. If you do find a suitable replacement. Please post the info for everyone else.
The carb to head isolators are available from honda for approx $80-$100 for the set of 4.
I have had decent luck (a bit slow on the shipping) using Partzilla.com
http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/H ... parts.html
$72.08 for the set of 4. Not including shipping. ($9.39 fedex ground for orders up to $100)
Babbits honda partshouse posts a lower price, but shipping more than eliminates the difference.
Fair warning about Partzilla. They do not ship unless the order is complete, or your contact them to request a partial shipment. This can take approx 2-3 weeks for your order to arrive.
Personally. I would not waste my time with either the emgo, or MP sync gagues. I use the Morgan Carbtune.
A bit higher in price, but far better quality with mininmal hassle in use. MP, and emgo both require syncing the gauge prior to use.
You can usually find the Morgan carbtune for a decent price on ebay. Make sure you get the 6mm adaters also.

Re: Which and where?
I am also in need of carb boots. The link above is for an 80 and are in stock. I have a 79 CB650 and on that site they say they're no longer available. Does anyone know if the 80 carb boots would work on the 79?
Re: Which and where?
The carb isolators (carb to head) will be the same for 79-80
