Embarassed but I have to ask: where do throttle cables (push and pull) attach to carbs - had them off for some time, now I can't remember or figure it out. In the manuals, photos are not clear at all.

Re: Throttle (x2) cables attachment to carbs
One easy tip is to check wich way the axle moves when the throttles open and if you notice it right you see that the pull wire is on the bottom! If you look carefully on where the wires shall be mounted you would notice, when throttles are closed, that there is only one way the pull wire could be mounted.

I've found a nice video on removal and reinstallation of carbs, with a good view on cables.

First install the longer bottom pull cable. You may open the throttle manually for a better position but be careful with your fingers!
Then try how it works and if it might need adjustment. When fine, also hang in the upper push cable and adjust it at the mount to a little bit of slack. At the cable guides at the bottom of the throttle grip you find a further adjustment option for fine tuning.
