Bumpy Tail
Bumpy Tail
Hey guys, I have a question regarding hardtail. I'm about to begin my work on my bobber from my 82 cb650 in which I want to convert into a hardtail. Now, I live in northern Minnesota where the roads are some of the worst in the country. (No joke) Pot holes galore everywhere. I'm afraid if I make into hardtail, just riding it would be too bumpy and too much strain on both us us. The bike and me. Is this a good idea? being how bad the roads are where I live? or would the hardtail not make that much of a difference as far as a smooth ride...Thanks.
Re: Bumpy Tail
The roads bad over here as well coupled with twisty (the only straight roads were built by the Romans ) , my hardtail 650 is fine but you need to make sure that you triangulate the tail properly.
A decent set of seat springs is also a good idea (mine are 8 inch long)

Re: Bumpy Tail
I love the bobber look but I could never ride one for anything more than an hour without my spine turning to dust.
The roads next door in Wisconsin are just as terrible.
