1979 CB650Z tacho cable

Postby hocus82 » Fri Jan 30, 2015 4:52 am

Hello. My tacho cable broke and I need to source a replacement. Only really need the inner wire part, but as far as I can see there is usually assys up for grabs.

I'm having some trouble finding the correct one, anyone got a part # I can search for on the ebays.

Thanks.

Partzilla lists the part numbers for the cables that fit most of the CB650 and CB650C models. Unfortunately, they are no longer available new. I don't know what the difference is with the Z model.

Yes but the american versions are a little diff from the rest. Cables should be the same. We can do other searches at DK too.

Thanks guys. I often find it difficult to search for parts for the '79 Z. Are there other models that are mostly compatible?

I wish ppl would put even there general location on the user info area to the left that way, if u wanted to give better info or offer parts u have an idea where they are in the world.

If you are in Europe, www.motomike.eu site, just enter '79 650 Z for the bike model and it will list all the available parts. So will cmsnl.com and others.
But I'm not sure you can find only wire part... Complete cable is not expensive.
