Size of steering stem nut

Postby karben » Wed Jul 01, 2015 9:40 am

Anyone happen to know the part number for the 83 650 steering stem locknut? It's the one with the four prongs to loosen and tighten the steering stem bearings. Also, could the same tool be used for the seingarm? Thanks.

I'm looking for the tool to remove the nut. It's a specialized Honda tool I guess. People grind down ratchets in order to make them.

Never mind. I found a convo we had a few weeks ago about this exact same thing. Hodor! Thanks bro.

Edit: it would be nice to get confirmation on the size of the stem nut though. I can't find a 30x32 locknut only one or the other. I'd rather not spend 80 dollars on two if I can just buy one and be done with it. So is the stem 30 or 32? I'm trying to line my ducks up so I can also put progressive springs up front while I have the forks off the bike. Thanks guys.
