Hi all,
Thieves tried to take my CB650, which I've had for less than a month. They successfully got the ignition cylinder out but otherwise failed — thankfully.
What are my options to replace this?
My bike: 1979 CB650, RCO3 series
Thanks for any thoughts.
Tim

Sorry to hear this although it could have come worse.
Here is a hint how to separate the lock from the switch but I think it probably won't help you with the cylinder:

Guess what you need is another lock with a key.
From a quick search they seem to be identical for CB400, CB650, CB550, CB750, CBX1000 of around 1980 but make sure before you buy something.
Note that the European versions did not have a steering lock included.
