Engine block 82 CB650 SC

Hi all, I read that my 82 could have a bored out 550 block or a sleeved 750 block. How can i know which on eI have?

Not sure if I really understand your question. :roll:
The stock cylinder block of a 1982 SC should be black and should have "626cm3" stamped on it on the right front side.
In case the sleeves should have been replaced, a check from outside is difficult however.

I'm pretty sure this casting is completely new with this model. Which is why the casting has a different bore size marked on it. I think you could bolt a 550 head on though (with the right selection of parts).

82 650 is the same block as all other sohc4 650's. Which was based off the 550. A 550 head is a poorer design over the 650.
Then there a piston clearance issues.
Did you clean the tank out?!?!?!?!

Thanks so much for your input. Sorry I am so long getting back, i did not have email notifications setup. I think it was Hondaman Mark Paris that said the 82 CB650SC was a bored out 550 alot od sources seem to agree. The 82 CB650 SC NH seems to be a bike without a plug. Can I use a DPR in mine?

its bored and stroked. DPR?
