If it's broken or just needs tweaked
Interesting results today after I switched back to the original K&N filter. Without me touching the idle screw before or after it started with choke then immediately turned it of. The bikes temperature overall seemed a little hotter than the previous filter when warmed up. Throttle response when cold was kind of gargly on the first quarter turn when warming up. Once the bike was warm I ripped open the throttle wide open in 4th or 5th gear going over 50+ and at 5500 RPM it just dropped back to 4500 or so. I tried again and it did it gain. Whats the verdict?
Plugs are now lean looking Im happy now finally
I did both but it seemed to throttle better with the K&N filter so I switched it back to that one. Are the plugs too lean though? I dont want to overheat it in the hot weather in CA. Im thinking of turning the pilot screws out 1/8 of a turn to barely richen then up and leave it at that. Maybe that will fix that 5500rpm cough.
