I took my carbs off and cleaned them. Bike has been seating up and carbs were extremely dirty from old gas. Reinstalled carbs. Put a new battery in also. Started on choke, but died soon off choke. Will restart only on choke. Does the 2 " air lines" off 1&2 and 3&4 carbs vacuum line. Any suggestions what I need to do. Thanks.....
Bike is a 1979 cb650
Won't stay running
Re: Won't stay running
The "t's" should all connect together eventual and go to the airbox. Or vent somewhere. but it sounds like your idle jets are clogged. Did you remove them while cleaning?
Did you clean the tank out?!?!?!?!
Re: Won't stay running
Had the carbs off pulled the main jets cleaned...I removed the carbs again...will pull idle jets and clean them. Does anyone have a picture actually where this jets are.. so I won't mess anything up. Thanks for info

Re: Won't stay running
I think the tops are different, but everything else is essentially the same, or at the very least "materially similar."
Re: Won't stay running
No. The 79 carbs are completely different.
