Clutch question

Postby jcasey007 » Sat Nov 05, 2016 2:14 am

Hi All

I've been piling on the miles this summer and one thing that I need to fix over the winter is a clutch issue, so before I strip it down, just want to check your collective thoughts.

The problem is - The clutch does not fully disengage when the level is pulled in. I've adjusted both ends to the limit (the cable was new 2 years ago), so is this a symptom to worn clutch plates? or is there likely to be wear in the release mechanism? There is no wear in the clutch are pivot bearing.

thoughts please

Jim

There is a adjustment in the case. The "plug" on the center allows assess to the adjuster. Its in the manuals

thanks both

I have to admit I've never adjusted it there even after the engine build, great as I didn't want to open the engine up :)

cheers
