Hi Guys,
First post...thanks for having me. Now down to business!
The cross head screw retaining the speedometer at the gearbox on the front tire is stripped. I am trying to take the front wheel off to change the tire and have discovered the stripped screw. What do I do? is there an easy-ish fix to a stripped screw? or should I bring it somewhere for professional attention?
I am a newbie and am following the Haynes manual to get my CB650 running smooth!
Thanks,
Brian

Welcome here!
You can frequently get out stripped screws with an impact driver like this:

I must say that I do not fully understand what you are trying to do. Is the screw you are talking about #18 on this diagram? If so, you do not have to remove this to get the front tire off.

Re: Help - stripped cross head screw!
Hi, thank you for the reply.
Yes the screw is #18 in your diagram. As you know, releasing it releases the speedometer cable from the gear box which makes life easier when taking the tire off. As it is now I have a front tire with a "tail"!

If you remove the front axle, the speedo gear will come off.
