1081 cb650 carbs

Postby Marcomotorbike » Sat Sep 16, 2017 3:52 pm

So I cleaned my carbs in my ultrasonic cleaner and it did an amazing job, rebuilt them with brand new jets gaskets etc
When I emptied my tank later I found this brass plug and 1 ball bearing in the dirt at the bottom so I wondered if anyone knows where they might go? Nothing shows up in either my Clymer or oem Honda manual.
Stock Keihin carbs on a 1981.
Greatly appreciate any feedback?
Attached a photo ball is about 2mm square plug maybe 3mm with a round bit on one side

That is part of the accelerator pump. This is not my picture, but the black arrow is pointing to the brass part. The ball bearing is under the brass piece. This is on the float bowl of the #2 carb.

I thought it might be from the odd carb of the rack but couldn't see where because everything was bright and clean
Many many thanks, this forum rocks!
