HondaCB650

Is there any particular type/brand of stator and rotor that will give the bike better performance as far as charging the battery, a weak point on this bike? I don't want to spend $300+ for "Rick's" parts which apparently are pretty popular but quite pricey, then again I don't want to find out later that better parts definitely work better in this case while I'm trickle charging my battery. Or is the difference in price more about reliability and longevity, in which case I'll be good just getting the bike running and do an upgrade next time.
