Postby sprygurr » Sat May 05, 2018 3:48 pm

Hmm. I've not heard of that before. I hope someone comes along with some good advice for you.

under the clutch there is a spring that holds a couple linkages. It might have broke.
Did you clean the tank out?!?!?!?!

I''m still digging around but haven't found anything that appears broken.
Need to find an illustration of how the parts go together, how it works gear to gear..

Hi Steffense, one of the biggest problems that I have as a member of this site is trying to help find a solution to somebody's issue is if they never get back to you. Nobody here can know if any advice they offer has been helpful or not if there is no feedback. If a solution to a problem works then I think the best outcome would be to share that information. Unfortunately there are too many people that come here, ask a question, get their answer and you never hear from them again, so how do we know if the advice we give was correct or not?
This is just my own personal opinion and has nothing to do with the owners or management of this site.

Totally agree.

I will come back if i find a solution.

Right now my bike havent been on the road for a unknown number of years, its on the centerstand i cant change the gears, as i read it might be easier if the bike is rolling. Else i will try to dismandle and clean or change the clutch and slave clutch assy, and check the clutch fluid.

So my bike couldnt really shift into gear, i thought it could go into 1st but i was wrong.

I cleaned the clutch plates and allowed me to go to 1st, N and 2nd, when im turning the wheel a bit all the other gears work also, i guess this is not a uncommon issue.

I am at an impasse on the gears.
Are the transmission forks broken? blocked somehow? Can I put heat on the shaft to try and loosen something?
Any suggestions?
If it comes to opening the case, it may end up in a dusky shed or the chopping block.
