Cam and crank shaft marks lined up but not cam sprocket punch marks.

If it's broken or just needs tweaked

Cam and crank shaft marks lined up but not cam sprocket punch marks.

Does it matter? I can't imagine how. I've got the "t 1-4" on the crank and the mark on the right side of the cam shaft lined up with the indent in the head there lined up together. I'm guessing the punch marks on the sprocket are just additional marks to help somehow but my sprocket I happened to bolt on 180 degrees off but what difference would that make with the mating of the chain to the crank shaft, right?

It is the camshaft mark aligned to the head together with T1-4 at the crankshaft that matters.
So you are right.
