Wow, that's very interesting. It's definately cheaper than a TIG welder and from the looks of the tests on that VW site, it's plenty strong. Thanks for the info :)

There is a company in Sweden that is offering something simulare, Alutite, and a friend of mine repaired a cylinder head (cooling fins) on a Moto Guzzi with it, and it worked very well. I have also seen the Alutite demonstarted on engine covers, and it seemd to work well on them too.
