Oil filter spacer dimensions

Postby Flc » Wed Jun 03, 2020 4:57 pm

Hi all, does anyone know the size of the spacer that goes behind the filter (engine side) as the bike I'm building didn't come with one http://i.imgur.com/sdUz6ke.png no 9 in this diagram.
I can machine one easily as I can't find one in the uk

8) thank you, you are a star. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures of my bikes (a spoke wheel and a mag cb650c)

Certainly still a lot of work but really good substance, especially for UK.

Howdy neighbour, not far at all. So here's the burning question, how come you've got two very similar CB650's? I think I've got a spare spacer somewhere in my shed if you get stuck. I thought the spoke wheeled CB650's had slide carbs not CV carbs.

Hello, yes I'd like to get the spacer from you and the spring if you have one? I will try and do a build thread to answer your questions 8) , now that I have worked out how to post pictures

I know I haven't got a spring in my shed as there wasn't one on the spare engine that I stripped. There is another problem with locating the spacer, at the moment I am in the process of building another shed because I couldn't actually move in my shed. I've got a complete (minus engine) CB650 in there as well as four CB650 Honda engines, 2 Royal Enfield engines + frame + wheels, exhaust systems, wiring harness's, blast cabinet, ultrasonic cleaners x2, boxes of Honda parts, Enfield parts, Kawasaki parts, carbs and tools and that's just what I remember. I had to stop working on the CB650 in there because I couldn't find anything amongst the piles of stuff.
This was when I emptied it enough to get my Kawasaki in there to work on.....

Hi. Looks like we're both in the same place shed wise, you have some nice bikes squeezed in there. Always fancied an Enfield. I turned a spacer up today at work so should be good and can get the spring from silvers, just looking for other stuff to buy at the same time as postage isn't cheap

I've got to get rid of a couple but I just can't decide which  The Enfield is a lovely bike to ride if you aren't in a hurry to get anywhere, if you are then that's where the Kwak comes in  I really love the Nighthawk though, so much that I have two of them, a UK and US spec.
