Hi everyone
First of all, thanks so much for all the great information there is on this forum. I’ve been an avid reader so fare, but have now ran my head against a wall.
I have acquired a CB650 believed to be from 1980 judging of the frame and carbs, however, it has been acquired as a project. A project without a stock airbox. However, I believe to have my jets and all under control, but the previous owner at two hoses on the T-Link (shown in attached photo) that was blocked off by screws.
I am having a hard time figuring out what these t-links actually do. I believe they are air vents to maintain atmospheric pressure in the float bowels, but wouldn’t that mean that I should leave my hoses unplugged?
Can you help me with some insight?
Thanks a lot
Attached is a picture of the T-link between my carbs.

Re: Keihin PD51A Carb hose question
you're correct! Those are vent tubes, don't block them should be the same as atmospheric psi. Instead take about a 9" black hose and turn them downward that'll prevent dirt and water to enter.
also look like the same carbs as my 1979 CB650 (see my link below of the rebuild)
