Horn upgrade

Postby old gringo » Thu Mar 17, 2011 2:06 pm

I decided to upgrade to something louder after the last person drifted into my lane. I found these on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEWNX%3AIT for $20 & free shipping. I used the original horn wires to operate a relay. Ran 12volt fused wire from battery to relay, then from relay to terminal on each horn (doesn't matter which). Used the included ground wires to run from the other terminals to the mounting bolt. The included mounting brackets mount the horns to the original mounting bolt. These are pretty loud and an easy do it yourself project.

I got a car horn that looks like a bike horn that is 125 dec.
They have a slightly larger Screw but it will fit the bike mount as is and it is loud and only cost me $2.99 at a flea market they have a few left at the same price and ya they fit the same connecting clips as the stock connectors.

That might be the Wolo compact air horn. I thought about it but decided I liked the looks of the chrome dual horns. They are 120db as well which is plenty loud

Now I found it, it's called Stebel Nautilus.
See link:

Some info about the horn:

Yes it's similar to the Wolo compact air horn.
