If anyone keeps track...

I got my starter and RR swaped out with the ones I got on ebay and they work great. Literally all I have to do is touch the start button. I haven't had that thing start so well since the day I bought it.
I also got my RR replaced and now my charging voltages are right back in spec. I expect that I will have no more dead battery problems.

Yes, when everything is working they are very easy to start.
