hi there, what made you get a cb 650 in the first place and here's how i got mine. I passed my bike test. This was my first big bike.I was looking around for a decent bike saw the cb 650, liked the idea of eletronic ignition sohc.I Thought they were the best looking out of sohc range you know the 4004, 500,550 and 750.

The PO said he took the head off with good intentions of replacing the head gasket. Same old story "just never got around to it, and the purchase price of $340.00 with a new head gasket sealed the deal. I've had quiet a few Honda's over the years so it didn't take much influence me to buy it. Currently riding a PC 800 and a Valkrie. Nice yakkin at ya. Keep a light touch on the bars!

Was available for the right price at the right time. Like the style and like a bike that will outrun most Harleys at least up to about 80 mph with an engine 1/2 the size.

I was looking for my first bike with a budget of $1300 and found a nice 1981 CB650C with 19400k the PO let me take her for 2 days to test. In that time she won me over and I had to have her. So for $950 and $200 for cert and 350 to clean the carbs I own her love it.

First bike for me too. I wanted something with enough power in case I needed but not so much as to get in trouble. My brother in law is crazy for old Hondas, he has a XR600 and an older Shadow. We found my bike on CL for $1,200 I jumped on it. I didn't know much about the model, then I found this site and things changed :)

Every time I pull in the driveway I tell my wife, "Man, that's a good looking bike."
