The larger photos you often see are hosted on another site like imgur or photobucket. Then use the Img button instead of the URL button to put in a link to where the photo is on that site. That displays the image in the post then.

Correct, this forum just has a direct site upload limit, no general picture size limit.

Which does not mean you should use giant external pictures as the traffic is still counted and has to be paid by our admin.

So please use still reasonable sizes also for external pictures, at least if you use the [img] option to display directly.

Hi All! New member here, but not unfamiliar to old Hondas. Hopefully I can provide some help and solicit some as well;)

I just picked up a 1981 CB650C. First thing I'm going to be jumping into is a full carb rebuild as the carbs leak through the overflow and genreal rough running. One thing I noticed is the PO blocked off the vent tubes with fuel line, so who know what else has been munged with.

My solition for a DIY t-fitting is to use a "goof plug" from the drip irrigation world (I have a few extra from this years drip irrigation garden project).

http://www.irrigationdirect.com/dd-gp

Use fuel line between the carb vent ports, punch a hole in the fuel line, drill a hole through the goof plug, pop goof plug into the punched hole and attach fuel line to exposed goof plug end as the vent. badda bing....

Another optin would be a 1/4" barbed connector:

Probably should drop one of these into gasoline first to see how how resistive it is.

Hard to tell for sure without something in the picture to give it scale.

most vacuum lines back then are about 1/8 outer diameter. so the inner diameter on the t should be around that. i cant find anything at the auto parts store

You know I was looking at what they want for these things on line and I'm thinking, "that would be so easy to make out of delrin." The only issue would be to get the length and ID right. I think I'll make some. I sure wish I had my "parts box" from when we had the paintball business. I would have has a LOT of nipples that would work

i just made my own tonight. i used clear gas line that is very tight on the vent tubes on the carbs. i took the old t's aparts and scraped off the old rubber t from the metal barb. i then took a drill bit and made a hole in the rubber gas line. i turned the metal barb around and pushed it into the gas line. i used some rtv silicone to seal up around the barb. seems to work pretty good. im waiting on my accelerator diaphragm to put the carbs back on and i should be good to go. not bad for free lol

I am not certain if this will work, or not.

A very similar T fitting on 92-97 Yamaha XJ600S seca II

Yamaha PIPE
Part Number:1AE-14197-00-00
Price:$17.21

At half the price it is worth at least looking into.

It looks disgusting.   Seriously good patent.I use auto vacuum fittings, but I do not like the material from which they are made.Your patent looks very sealed and I think that if I do not win the lottery, your solution is my first choice.

I made new ones out of nylon bushings ,hollow center-fit the carb vents perfect. found them in the hardware store. drilled a hole, inserted a short piece of brass tube for a vent pipe. labor intensive but a permanent fix.cost a few bucks.

Dredging up this old thread to see if anyone has that part number. I don't even see the Tee's listed on any exploded view of my carbs.
Also, if it's just a vent, is it really required?

If it was not required, imagine how much money Honda wasted on this part.
