Thanks for this! My "82 is giving me fits with the charging, tired of sitting in traffic and having to rev the $&(@&"&"&&"&)@$!!! to 4k to kee it going! Gonna get hot on this and see where the problem is! Thanks again, God Bless!

Hey, all! I have too ask...is there an upgrade, possibly a PMA system that I can install on my "82 Nighthawk 650? I upgraded the ignition on my "76 Yamaha XS650, PMA with a new rectifier/regulator, which BTW eliminated the stock mechanical voltage regulator, and a Pamco electronic Hall-effect ignition! the "Blue Beast" runs like a champ, and completely eliminated ANY charging problems! Would LOVE to do the same to this bike, love the smoothness and much quicker acceleration! I need to resolve this issue, before I go bracket racing in St. Louis! Thanks ahead of time for any help!(BTW, just changed rotor, stator, and rectifier/regulator-rotor and R/R are Electrosport, stator is a Caltric piece!) God Bless, "Ride'Em, Don't Hide'Em!"
