When I bought my CB650, the seat was just sitting on the frame. I never actually checked to see if the seat fit properly I just popped it on and rode off. Couple months later, I drop some cash reupholstering the existing seat pan. Come to find out, the seat doesn't fit because the tank is too long / not the original tank... didn't find that out until later.
The picture below is the newly reupholstered CB650 seat. If anyone wants to buy it, let me know. I'll ship it out to you. It's never had an ass on it!

Is this a 1980 seat? Looking at your bike, looks like you have a 79 tank. Sweet ride - see you around the streets of ATX! (Once I get my bike running...)

The seat is from a 1980 CB650 but the tank is questionable. It's actually too long. I thought it might have came from a 1980 CB750 but who knows. I'm trying to sell that seat by the way...
