1980 CB 650 For Sale

Postby GilaShot » Tue Jun 08, 2010 3:21 pm

This 1980 is in good shape for it’s age, with lots of clean chrome and nice original leather seats. It has 22566 miles, with only a little rust hiding here and there. There is a dent in the gas tank, and the tip of the brake lever is broken off (dropped while walking it across the yard). Both the tires and the chain on this bike are in decent shape. I have café racer style handlebars on the bike now, and will include the original handlebars as well. This bike ran well but had occasional charging problems until it blew a head gasket. It needs a new battery and head gasket. Send me a message with any questions or for pictures, or come on out to Blairstown, NJ to check out this classic Honda.

Do you have any pictures with the cafe bars? I'm interested in seeing what it looks like.

I am not that common to US versions but is this really a 1980 standard bike with CV carbs? The obviously original looking seat in leather would be a quite interesting issue. If really a leather cover, any idea where to get one and how much is it?
Together with the 4-4 and the 16" rear comstar I would rather suppose this bike being a 1981 custom.

Its a 80 custom with a 81 or 2 engine in it. 80 customs did have 4-4 and a 16 rear.

I worked on a 81 standard that had a 82 nitehawk engine in it. Thought it was just dirty untill I relised all the chrome covers on it.
Did you clean the tank out?!?!?!?!
