1980 CB 650 good parts OFFERS EXCEPTED !!

Postby wingman » Sat Jul 30, 2011 8:37 pm

1980 CB 650 clean quality parts for sale @ reasonable cost. Let me know what you need. Bike had 12497 miles.

What is left now is two different tachs,(TACHS SOLD) and a metric speedometer in Kilometers, Forks ...a 1981 custom with double brake mounts. A couple idiot light clusters. I also still have all the turn signals and taillight assemblies, both fenders (Very clean and dent free), All the bolt-on polished aluminum covers. A spark unit, tranny gears (with only 12K miles of use). left and right handlebar switch units, sissy bar. Complete rebuilt clutch assembly (with new Barnett plates and fresh springs) Only used a short time. See some pictures below. More pictures available just send me your e-mail address in a PM.

I try to keep this list updated so if it is still listed I probably still have it.

I need to clear out the shed. MAKE ME AN OFFER I CAN'T REFUSE !!

Parts still available 1 Jan 2012

Was it cleaned before coating? Last tank I bought the PO was so proud of the fact it was coated but when u look inside they coated over all the shit.
If we was closer I'd get the whole bike from u.

I appreciate your interest but I think at this time I would like to retain this part for my own back up box. It is a very straight tank and I know first hand (PO buddy) that there was no issue with contamination from it. I will keep you in mind if circumstances change though. I think if I was to sell it I would ask around $70 because it is so straight. Does that sound about right to you? Thanks again for the interest.

You need to talk to the guys on ebay who are trying to sell really bad tanks for that much or more. Mine works okay for the meantime...

Do you have the throttle return cable? My bike is missing it and idles high at stop signs until I reach down and push the throttle stop back down. How much do you want for it? Thanks!!
So...when will your bike be finished? Umm, never. It is an old bike, there's always gonna be something to do!

The CB650 carbs do have a very strong spring with certainly no need for additional manual support. Some here reported that they prefer a second, weaker position that seems to exist. If you need to push it back by hand, the spring is probably hang in in the weaker position. Check out.
