Great condition! However if this should be really the 30 year old plastic cover (is it?) not protected against light and oxygen I'd suspect the stuff being quite brittle now and won't survive for long when really used for riding. In this case rather a nice part to complete a showroom bike.

It appears original to me. How does one tell? It doesn't seem hard and brittle. I can say that the person I got it from used it regularly for about two years. I have only had it a few months. In my opinion it is a very nice soft useable seat and offered at a competitive price. You see complete junk seats on E-bay for $100 and jippo covers alone for $90. If you want a stock seat I guarantee you will like this seat! I am selling it only because I have sold the bike I got it for with a leather Corbin seat on it. My replacement bike is a Nighthawk... so no fit.

When did they start to use plastic/fiberglass seat pans? The seat pan on my '79 is metal...
