Would any Honda cb 750 tank fit on a 1980 cb650 custom?

Shouldn't be a problem. I have one 650 with a 900 tank

How did you fit that?
I have a 900 tank in the garage, and it was significantly longer than the 650 tank.

Well it does depend on the year of the tank in some cases. But the tank I have is from a 80 and the bike is an 81. Didn't have a problem fitting.
