I was putting new tires on my 1981 honda cb 650 custom. Everything went fine till I was finished... Long story short there is now a huge dent in my tank. So I'm looking for a new one, contact me with anything you have. I will paint it myself and would like to try and get somthing without alot of dents. Any help is welcome!
Thanks guys!

No chance of pulling this dent out then?

Re: need a gas tank
Ive been trying but its in a really hard spot to get to... any ideas on ways to pop it out?
Re: need a gas tank
Depends on how bad it is. I've seen videos of people using canned air (available from office supply type stores for cleaning computer equipment). Heat up the dented area with a hair dryer, then turn the canned air upside down and spray the dent. The cold air supposedly causes the heated area to rapidly contract which somehow pops out the dent. I've tried it, but it never worked for me. I either use a steel rod to tap out the dent from the inside, or I spot weld a screw on the dent and use a slide hammer to pull it out. Then grind off the screw, bondo any smaller imperfections, prime, and paint.
