I was suppose to finish this bike for a client but after tearing it apart and starting the engine rebuild process, he decided he didn't have the funds and said I could have the bike.
I already have enough motorcycles so I'm going to part it out. I'm located in Minnesota if anyone local needs parts. I have everything for a complete bike. Its roughly 600-800 and it would be a finished bike. And thats stuff I would replace, shocks, springs, piston rings, paint, and done. So you could go that route. I have about 800 in time in it right now so I want to recover that. Motor is torn apart but will likely be put back together before I sell it. Otherwise if someone wants it disassembled, that can be done. I have brand new gaskets for it too!
Let me know what you want and a price. I'll let you know what I can do.

I would be interested in the Gas tank, Front fender, and Chrome airbox covers!

Re: 1981 CB650 Parting out
I'm looking for side overs, how much?
Re: 1981 CB650 Parting out
I need a front brake light switch. Would be willing to take the whole front brake handle assembly if thats easier. Also need a speedo cable and speedo sender unit(or whatever you want to call it).
Re: 1981 CB650 Parting out
I am also interested in the chrome air box covers and side covers. If the first offers don't work out, let me know. I am also in Minnesota just south of the twin cities area.
Re: 1981 CB650 Parting out
Not sure if you still have the bike, or it's parts, but I'm in need of a ignition advance unit. I'm also in Minnesota ...north east area. Let me know if still available. Thanks.
