SOHC CB650 & CB650C PARTS

Don't let the fancy-schmancy layout of this thread fool you. Not a business, not incorporated, not an LLC. I'm a former Techno-Geek, now unemployed. I've sold a lot of parts to you guys, I've met a few of you in person, and I sincerely appreciate it when you come to me looking for the parts you need.

81 Honda CB650 - 81 Honda CB650C Custom - 82 Honda CB650

I've been parting out several CB650 models both here and on SOHC4 over the past few years. I have SEVERAL different threads here on HondaCB650.com where I am parting out individual bikes, but many of those threads have become stagnant or 'stalled'. I am STILL parting them out however. With so many threads for each of those individual bikes, I thought perhaps it would be better to start THIS thread, as a general 'CB650 Parts', to let everyone know that I pretty much always have a CB650 parts bike that I'm breaking down (and always looking for more), and I'm always selling CB650 parts.

I currently do NOT have any of these parts available (will update this thread when I do):
- Camshaft
- Fuel Tank
- Carbs
- Side covers

Some might think that I am a business, but I'm not. I'm a stay-at-home dad of three, an average Joe, and a motorcycle junkie. I own and ride several different bikes. I have a small workshop in the basement of my home. I often buy local UJM's from the late 70's and early 80's. I did not intentionally try to 'specialize' in the CB650, but they tend to follow me home more often than any others. I part them out to supplement my wife's income and try to help make ends meet, and sometimes I fix them.

Image

I used to keep track of all the parts that have sold or were not available, for each individual bike. I still do, or at least TRY, but with a dozen different parts bikes, it is becoming increasingly difficult. If there is something in particular that you're looking for, let me know and I will dig through my parts bins and see if I have it. I will answer PM's and posts made here in this thread, but if you have an interest or questions about specific parts, it's usually best (and quicker) if you email me directly at witttom@yahoo.com (three T's in w-i-t-t-t-o-m).

I'm willing to take checks, money orders, chickens, goats, magic beans, flux capacitors, other motorcycle stuff, etc. ...or if you're local (I'm in Southwest Ohio, Northwest of Cincinnati) and want to save on shipping costs, you're welcome to pay in cash and pickup. I have taken PayPal for 90% of the parts that I have sold over the past couple years (been a PP member for 15+ years) but trying to step away from that if I can. If you're in a hurry or that is your only option, I'm certainly still willing to accept those payments though. I usually make a couple trips to the Post Office each week, and I'm usually pretty quick about getting parts shipped out. It does occasionally take me a couple days to pull items that are a bit more involved. I'm also willing to ship outside the US and have done so many times, but it can get fairly expensive on large/heavy parts.

Currently traveling this week. Won't be back around until the week of Aug-11. If you have sent me a message and I have not responded, I'm not intentionally ignoring you, I'm just having a tough time keeping up. ;)

Heading out a motorcycle rally down at Deals Gap this coming week. If you are waiting till payday to buy a part, or have not closed a deal that we have been working on, or have simply forgotten to follow-up, my last day for shipping items out will be Friday Sept-5 [my local Post Office closes at 4:30pm]. I MIGHT be able to make it to the Post Office on the morning of Saturday Sept.6, but I wouldn't count on it. From Sept-8 through the entire next week, I will be answering email inquiries when I have the chance (and when I have the cell service or WiFi), but will be out of the workshop and will not be able to measure parts, check condition of parts, take photos of parts, dig through my parts storage bins, or weigh parts to get an idea of shipping costs, and I obviously will not be able to ship parts. I will probably not be back in my workshop till Sept-16 or so, give or take, and it will likely take me a couple more days to get caught up.

I will do what I can to stay on top of things during this time, but whenever I'm away for a week, I tend to struggle for the next couple weeks. This is just a heads up.

:o :) ;)

Dang. I see that all of my image links are broken. Guess I'm gonna have to make some time to fix that.

I do have a set. 19" front, 17" rear. I thought that I had them sold to a local buyer back in November, but he kept dragging his feet, and now I've not heard anything from him in two or three weeks. So, I'm considering them available.

Feel free to email me directly: witttom@yahoo.com (three T's in w-i-t-t-t-o-m).

what do you have left on the 650C?

That's kind of a tough question, because I have LOTS of parts available (I'm parting out two different C models, and several base models). What makes the 650C a 'C', is really only a few items. Much of everything else is interchangeable. I do not have any tanks, no side covers, no camshafts, no carbs, no frames, no titles. There's a good chance that I have everything else. All of the bikes I am parting out, have been broken down and the parts are in storage tubs. If you're looking for something specific, I can check to see if I have it.

Hi Tom,

First post here! DO you have any keyed ignitions laying around?

I am working on a '80, and when I have that legal and running I am starting my '79 build up...neither one came with a key.

Also, I know that no cb650's came with dual disc, but I got a dual disc comstar wheel in the package, so I am trying to find a dual disc fork...ooh that reminds me...I also need a front brake set up in decent shape ( M/C, hose, caliper) if you have one (or two) kicking around..could also go for a single disc front end if you have one for a good price.

Regards,

Jordan ( On Maui)

FYI Euro 650's came with dual disks but a regular comstar. 81 custom and 82 nitehawks did too with reverse comstar.
