CB650 asked about the stock mirrors on my bike a while back. I did add vibration dampeners but they still blur out over 60mph. They are stock/original but like many things, I'm sure there's better out there. As CB suggested, possibly with shorter arms to also help reduce vibration (it's that whole moment arm thing too).
Any suggestions? Examples of what has been done on other 650's?
Mirrors
Re: Mirrors
I use the rectangular mirrors. They have a short stem and its conected on one corner of the mirror. Vision is good. Pics in my gallery
Did you clean the tank out?!?!?!?!
Re: Mirrors
CB: I tried a couple different mirrors and found one darn near the same as you have on your bike. I tried only the right one to start with. It has about a 3" post, very thick and sturdy that enters the mirror at the corner. The wrench to remove the old mirror is 14mm and the wrench to install the new mirror is 17mm. The thread is the standard 10mm.
I was up around 75mph and it's a tremendous improvement over the OEM mirror. I ordered the left mirror, it will be here early next week. My local Honda shop retails them for about $16.00. They are from "BikeMaster". The right hand mirror part number is 60-0030. It's called a Super Bike GP Mirror.
