Picked up a project and has the wrong year tank. Need the tank to get this beauty back on the road. Cant find a tank anywhere else am hoping some one has one here. Thanks

What year is the tank that you have on the bike? I'm looking for a 1981 650 tank ... plse advise, thanks

82 is nitehawk or standard. What do you have. Way diff tanks.

I've got a 1982 CB650 Nighthawk tank I wont be using on this next build. I was planning to clean it up and primer it for the next buyer. It's got both original badges on the side of the tank, original locking gas cap with key. There are some small dings here and there. Probably from being moved around my garage. (my bad) When I picked up the bike it had rust in the tank so I took it down to have it hot tanked, acid bathed, and blue coated. I'll see if I can't get a picture up later for you but it had pitting on the inside. Structure is still sound and it looks good. I'm not sure what they normally run for but I'll do a little research, and you go ahead and make an offer. We'll just add shipping into the cost. Oh and it does have a petcock on it, but it's would probably needs a rebuild as the bike sat for 5 years before I picked it up.

I've got a little bondo left from another project I just finished, I'll go ahead, and fill the couple little dents, prep and primer it, probably black primer since i've already got that on hand. I'll have it ready in a couple days. How does 100.00 shipped sound? I'm in washington so I can probably flat rate it for not too much. Also I'm about to make a "wanted" thread in a bit here, I'm looking for a set of spoked wheels that will fit my 82 nighthawk, I've seen the ones for the CB750 that match up including the drum brake assm in the rear. But the ones I've found were on ebay for a large chunk of cash. 170 plus 80 shipping just for the rear wheel! Anybody have a lead on a set that wont cost me an arm and a leg?
