what are they off? all sohc650's had eye to clevis. and being shorter might be for a smaller bike. I think my 360 was about that length.
Did you clean the tank out?!?!?!?!

They're new univesal I think emgo brand. Spring rate Is pretty stiff. Work great to lower bikes and not bottom out

They're not universal. They will not work on a CB650. Compare the bottom mount to the attached picture of a CB650 shock.

A CB900C uses this type of mount, as well as many Goldwings.

Most all the older cb,s use the eye to clevis. eye to eye is more a yamaha type.
Did you clean the tank out?!?!?!?!
