Too good for America?

Postby Chris » Tue Mar 06, 2007 1:06 am

I saw a one page write-up about this European-only Sportster prototype and thought I'd share it with ya'll. At a glance, I'd say the dimensions look familiar but it's missing a couple of cylinders. The article that I read states that if consumer feedback is good, H-D might sell the XR1200, in Europe only.

What do you think?

It's nice for a HD....but "seen one, seen them all!!" Cynical, aren't I?
.....to be myself, a pattern for others.

Oooo, Vatchy likey. If I could find an old XR750 that wasn't beat to crap from racing I'd buy it (in theory). The simple lines of a flat track bike are nice. I've seem some Yamaha XS650's done up as flat trackers. Very cool.

As for the "designed for Europeon roads" bit  Apparently all the roads in North America are long, wide, flat, and straight. This is not the first cool bike not available to the US market.
