compressor?

ok i know this is random but i was wondering what size compressor youd recommend for the garage. to do impacts and maybe painting. hp? psi? cfm? stuff like that. thank you. also what size gallon would be best. im just tryin to get some good ideas. dont have a lot of money to spend on this. just looking for something good for my money.

I have a 110 volt Campbell Hausfeld 2 horse, 125 psi and I think about 25 to 30 gal tank. It has been serving me for almost 30 years and never skipped a beat. I do the usual wrenching and some painting, texturing, body work etc. If you plan to paint consider a gravity feed gun rather than a siphon type. It will use far less air. When I use a large air grinder it will use too much air for the compressor to keep up and I have to wait sometimes. Hope this helps with your choice
