1980 650C...

Postby Rocky » Tue Jul 22, 2008 1:19 pm

....... bought it a month ago. Has been running fine and power is good. when I bought it, it had its top end rebuilt. carbs were not exactly synched but now they are. it is a lot of fun to drive around the mountains. these days the speedometer is not working. I think the cable is toast have ordered a new one in mail and should replace it soon.

Welcome here! :D
Really looks great. Seems you are one of the few lucky ones which have no running problems with pod filters. Be prepared to receive questions on that item.
I would try to get off that bit of rust from the exhaust chambers below the engine as long as it is possible easily.

thanks volker.

I have been thinking about the rust myself and should be tackling that pretty soon when I get free time on my hands.

Also the designer Pods have been working well so far. I was a little bit afraid when I saw them first but kinda gotten used to them :)
