Priming of oil.

Postby Lars_Erik » Wed Jan 10, 2018 4:10 pm

I have compleatly rebuild the engin (1982) and have finally filled it with oil again today. I primed it with the starter motor for approx 2 minutes without the spark plugs being installed, and get oil pressure, but see no oil at the camshaft. Does anyone know if this is normal for this engine?

Oil is needed at the cam shaft. The FSM actually recommends filling these pockets with oil when you are reassembling the engine.
